I have recently purchased a used Tmaxx. It ran fine when I got it although when I tore the motor down it was pretty much trashed (previous owner did not perform the correct pm's). Anyways I took it home and started tearing it down from the front to the back and I finished putting the rear end on last night. When I put it together somehow the wheels are spinning in opposite directions. When I put it on the floor and try to roll it the front tires want to go forward and the rears want to go backwards. Please help as I did not think I changed anything while breaking it down and this is a bit frustrating.

Thanks in advance.

You need to flip your rear diff. Right now the ring gear is positioned on the wrong side of the pinion and center drive shaft causing the wheels to then in the opposite direction.

Cool man thank you. I figured that's probably what it was but I didn't want to tear everything back down until I got a second opinion.

Thanks again!!

No matter how many times i do a tear down i always manage to get one of em backwards . Even after marking them lol .

heres an awesome tip. pick the maxx up and look at it from the end your working on down the chassis. when looking at it that way, the screws will always go in from the right through to the left on the diff case. always =) once i learned that trick no more flippy diffy!

Thanks for the tip. I will definitely use that in the future. This site has been a big help with knowledge so far. There's some great threads with tips and tricks in them.

Great site.
