I am looking to regear my maxx for low torque and wheelies. I have stripped out my spur gear and need to order new but not sure which gear ratio would be best for getting the most torque. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. oh yea i am running aftermarket tires and wheels but they are the size as the factory ones

okay heres what you do, you need to order the biggest spur gear availible like a 72tooth and then order the smallest clutchbell like a 16tooth and but them on. maby this will explain it easier:
0o=more torque at the sacrifice of top end speed
o0=more top end speed at the sacrifice of torque
hope that helps

If you want more low end you can accomplish this by changing to a higher tooth count spur gear or a lower tooth count clutch bell or both.

If you want more top end use lower tooth count spur gear or a higher tooth count clutch bell, or both.

Changing the clutch bell will make the most dramatic changes, replacing the spur the changes will be more subtle.
