put a 40 tooth spur and 14 tooth clutch bell with a close ratio 2 speed tranny gear. this will give u the most grunt and bottom end.

I dunno will that make it wheelie out of control? i was thinking plenty of grunt but still some speed for taking it at speed. like 55 tooth spur and 16 tooth clutch bell. I dunno maybe not but flip wheelies are my first thought.

ye true i run the 16 clutch bell with 40 tooth spur i tried the 14 tooth and its nuts lol u have to have the suspension set up right so it doesn't flip over

4 teeth on a spur roughly equals 1 tooth on a CB.
14/40 would be good for a 2.5 on hill-climbing, it will whelie a lot though.
I run 15/38 with close ratios in the tranny on my 3.3 racer. Not too many wheelies but the acceleration is awesome. Try a few different combos and see what works. Set the two speed to shift a little later to stop it from bogging when it shifts gears mid-climb.

I'm pretty sure that there is no way to put a 55T spur on a revo.

i run a 40T/15T and it lifts a little on pavement but other than that its a great set up for me, and i choose to keep the standard gears in the tranny

I'm not to sure what your climbing but i got a few nice piles of sticks/leaves/dirt and every time i try to climb it my revo ends up on its back lol

38t spur leaves more clearence for the air filter intake tube.If you have the stock 38t spur you can go as low as 14t on the bell I beleive. That should make you happy and if you use the wide ratio tranny you will still have some speed because 1st gear is the same in all 3 but +1t /-1t for the 2nd gear in wide,,close ratio over the standads ratio. I prefer the wide ratio for bashing but the close for the race track. The standard ratio is the compromise between the two.I thought the 2.5 Revo came with the standard but not sure. The 3.3 Revo has the wide and 3.3 TMaxx has the standard.

what come from the factory i kno the spur is 38T what about the tranny?and clutch bell

whats in the tranny?

whats the smallest clutch bell?

23.85:1 for 1st 16:54:1 2nd this is for the 2.5 so the only difference in standard and wide ratio is 2nd gear being 15.22:1?how wide can i get that ratio?
