whats the type of gas everybody uses for non-race type running? I'm out and need to get more. been using mostly byron gen2 20%

Byron's is about as good as it gets. I only have access to Trinity and O'donnel's. I think I could use em both in my mower crank case. Oily stuff indeed.:)

Byrons and traxxas is all I run and i never had a problem with either one

I've been using sidewinder 20%/10% oil and love it, it keeps the temp down and burns very well. But with only 10% oil you should use after run oil, at least that's what I was told.

kinda hard to figgure out oil content. actually looking to stick to middle of road. 10% seems low and 20% seems like grease. but what i know? I'm new to this . would like to mount my Stihl chainsaw motor to truck and go 50/50 lol. will stick with byrons. thanks all for info

i had alot of problems with traxxas fuel but i switched to bryon gen 2 and they all went away

i used about all of them and in my opinion i like torco the best it burns clean and runs cool

I've ran Traxxas Top Fuel my entire interest in nitros and had zero problems, so thats what I reccomend.

I have used Traxxas and Byron's and another kind but now I run VP Powermaster 30% race blend and I like it.

I'm wanting to try the VP MASTER BASHER 20 if i can find somewhere that sells it. Its list $18 a gallon and supposed to be much better than traxxas top fuel which is all i run so far.

I run Sidewinder 30% 10%. Hey Nikko508, just FYI Sidewinder doesn't REQUIRE after run oil always a good habit. Not sure what you use but I've found just plain WD-40 works fine with it. Not trying to start a war or anything, just thought it may save you a penny or two.

Byrons is all the LHS carries.

i was running Torco 20%, than i found VP race fuels, and have been running that and i love it !

i could wright a bunch of pages, as to why NOT to mix your own. but just beleave me it is not worth the trouble. you dont save much, each batch is different so you have to keep changing the tune. i would stop but i have 4 gal of nitro setting. and high percentages of nitro is VERY hard to light.

I switched from Traxxas to Byrons rtr gen 2 20% and I've noticed a nice performance increase. The temps are about the same and I'm in the process of retuning my fleet of 7 nitros.

Traxxas Top Fuel 20% First Gallon of Nitro Fuel i ever bought. Thats all they had at the Hobby Shop :p:
