Well i get paid at the end of the month and i already have a Motor Saver filter and a hump pack on my goodies list, but I'm also looking into getting something else. Any sugestions that would be a must for my savage? I was maybe thinking to upgrade the radio and receiver to a 2.4ghz. But are there any good radio and receiver combo's for under $70?

You'll spend about 100.00 on a decent radio setup. If you're running an fm now you really won't see that much improvement between the two. A hump pack suggestion would be the duratrax 1600 packs from tower. They're priced very well and the lead wire is kinda thick when you compare them to others. Hope this helps, Steve

I'm completely noob, but learning the hard way and from reading, here's what I would suggest.
Good set of tires-Love my trenchers
Spare odds and ends-all those screws and pins, have extras cause it SUCKS to lose one and be outta commission waiting.
I almost went with a new radio, and still may, but will be looking into getting my servos and brakes upgraded first.

I've got everything you need to upgrade to the XL and also have everything you need to complete a mid tank conversion. Do you have a 3 speed? I've got a 3 speed trans as well. How about a hefty steering servo? Got one of those as well for sale.

if you are interested, please PM me soon.
I'm going to be putting my stuff on ebay shortly.

Prevents mid tank lean that is experienced often with the stock fuel tank, also balances the truck out better by moving the fuel tank towards the front on the chassis.

Also moves the fuel tank in between the TVPs, Protecting it much better.

I bought the Hobby King 2.4 remote with receiver and fail safe for about $30 shipped. Best investment by far I ever made. Extra receivers are $5. The controller looks a little buddy looking, but I have not had one single problem with it. I was having glitching issues with my 2 hpi controllers that came with .25 and 4.6. Both took off out of control on me. My .25 hit a large piece of gravel wide open, went straight up about 18 feet in the air, did one single front flip, landed on it's wheels and cut off. DIDN'T URT A THING!!!!! That's why SAVAGE'S RULE!!!!!!!:first_place: Anyways I ordered the Hobby King HK-GT2 asap and am completely satisfied.

18' in the air by hitting a piece of gravel? By piece of gravel do you mean giant stone ramp?
