Anybody using the futuba 3pm 2.4 radio setup? Is there any big pros or cons? I was thinking about getting one for my t-maxx and soon to be slash.

I have one! Its a amazing radio. its got a low voltage alarm and low batt fail ame in the receiver. Its got killer range too. No "brown outs" as they call them also.

Pick one up on eBay for about 167. Really good rfor the price and top notch quality ;)

I have a 3PM and a 3PKS. The Futaba FASST system is rock solid. Very good range and reception. I have never had a glitch that was the radios fault. Way better than Spectrum IMO. I know some swear by them but they are very hit or miss. Actually sadly my 3PM radio just sits now but hey it is always a back up!

I just scored one of these futaba 3pm 2.4g fasst systems. My friend I got it from is looking for the owner's manual tho. Maybe yous could help me out. I hear it as a fail safe does that mean when it get out of rande or the bat gets low my revo won't just take off anymore ( I had a problem with this with my traxxas tq3)? Also I would like to use the radio for my rusty could I buy another receiver for that rig? Being there are no crystals for this setup how would I dial it in? Could I get a receiver for my girlfriend/kids and boss? hahahahaha lol any help would be grate Thankx.....

The failsafe prevents runaways in the event of low power or signal loss. It won't, however, protect you if you completely lose power to the receiver, which is why you should run a throttle return spring on the carb.

When you buy another receiver, you bind the receiver to the radio by way of either a button on the receiver or a binding plug (not sure of which on the futaba radios). The 3pm has multiple model memory so when you go to a new model you can store the settings in a different model file on the radio, allowing you to switch models without losing settings.

Here is the radio's manual. http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/3pm-2_4ghz-manual.pdf
