You could get away with it for steering or brake in a buggy but it wouldn't use it for steering in a truggy. The leverage is different and the tires are bigger. You'd need more torque for reliable control.
 
I agree with helotaxi, good for buggy steering. a bit shy on torque for a truggy. I say no to both as far as throttle/brake
 
um.. there are a lot of vehicles out there besides buggies and truggies. That servo is a good steering servo for just about anything.. except MT's and Truggies. St's and touring cars, nitro or electric. It would probably be a good throttle/brake for STs as well. 0.1 sec is pretty fast and fast is good for steering. 120 oz/in. is good torque but not quite enough for applications where you need a lot.. like braking in 4wd Nitros. I'm guessing you could get away with it in a 2wd nitro because having an excessive amount of torque is useless when you are braking only the rear tires.
 
It has more than enough torque for brake applications in a 1/8 buggy. 80-85 is considered the norm for that application.
 
The biggest thing to make sure of is that the endpoints are set correctly and that the servo is not trying to move against a hard stop. For example, the carb should not be fully open until full throttle is applied and the servo should stop trying to open the carb once it is fully open. Same with the brakes. If the servo is trying to open the carb past the full open point you will burn up the servo pretty quickly.
