Fun=Damage

An hour of fun this afternoon. Lots of work ahead. The obvious, bent rear shock plate, broken steering servo, broken wing mount.
The unknown..it won't move.Runs great but won't move.Clutch??Clutch spring??
Time for surgery.
But it was a spectacular crash (good thing I was driving)

Does sound like clutch trouble but I wouldn't want to hazard a guess - the gears are still meshed nicely and it's making good rpm and everything? Wait for one of the others they'll have a better idea but it might pay to pull the clutch apart and make sure spring and everything are in place and intact.

I'd say slipper but I don't know what kind of car/truck we are talking about

It's an Exceed buggy if I remember right. Doesn't have a slipper. Chances are you lost a dogbone, either that or one of the drive cups is loose (that happens ALL THE TIME on mine).

Could also be stripped gears in the trans, or maybe even a bent drive shaft/a rock lodged in where you can't see it. Don't be afraid to turn the axles manually to trace down the seizure.

Only 2 things I'm afraid of in this world...Women and the poh-lice!

I'm gonna strip it down today. Both dogbones seem fine. Wheels still turn when I turn the engine gear. Don't know what a drive cup is Cupooterluvr.?????
Don't know what a slipper is either.???
It is an Exceed Extreme. Great memory.

Not sure I know what a spur gear is CTM???

I'll know more after surgery. Hope it's just the clutch.

Slippers you put on your feet when it's cold your car doesn't have one apparently.
Spur gear is the larger gear which your engine gear (pinion gear) turns when it's engaged - I have stripped a couple on my Mugen but it's an inheirant flaw with the car unless you have setup purrrfect.
Cups are the things the dog bones sit in (I think....) if too much angle / stress is put on the connection between the two they can pop out.

Surgery complete. Stripped gears on the clutch housing and the center gears.Bent rear shock plate. Missing screw from engine mount which caused it to turn just enough to screw up gear alignment. Broken wing mount. Broken servo.
Cars right back where it was before..in pieces. But we had fun!!
Placed a few orders today.
