I'm running trinity 25% nitro I'm supposted to be running 20% would the engine run hotter with 30%. One last thing what is better traxas top fuel or hpis power fuel because i want to get a differnt brand

I do believe it will run a bit hotter, but keep in mind, once you go up in percentage, it's not wise to go back down. So, if you are running 25%, I wouldn't go back down to 20%. Same thing with fuel brand in my opinion. I tend to stick with one brand, same percentage all the time.

The higher u go in %, the engine runs alittle hotter. Once u start at a % don't go down in %. As far as changing brands, it's ok. Run a search for more info. There is plenty of threads on this topic to help.

It will actually run cooler on 30% but will be a little more difficult to tune.

Hmmmm, that's interesting to do that the higher you go, the cooler your engine temps get. I always thought it was backwards.. Well, now I know.

The higher the % the less lubrication and the higher the temps. At least that is what I was told.

The nitro% has nothing to do with the lubrication, it's the amount of oil in the fuel. Different fuels have different oil percentages, which has nothing to do with the nitro %. Some 20% nitro has 12% oil, some has 16%, some 18%, some use castor oil, some use synthetic.

The higher nitro content will allow you to run a little richer but keep the same performance. If you broke-in or have been running with 25% for a while, I agree that you should stick with 25% untill you do an engine rebuild.
