Hey all,
i went to LHS to get some fuel... i got some fuel its 20% and 12% oil..
Is the oil part ok?
Like the guy there said thats wat they run there cars on...
Does the oil % matter?
 
thats a good ?.. i always wonder what the diffrence is.. i always see it when i pick up my fuel, I'm always check'in whats on the shelf..as many times as i thought to swich my fuels,. i just wind up getting the same old traxxas 20%..I've been buying the same stuff for 5 years..
 
I'm not for sure on the oil percentage, but that seems about right.
What brand is the fuel?
 
The oil is what lubes and protects the engine, but more oil also takes some power away. A general rule of thumb, most race fuels are only 8% oil, combo bash/race fuel is 10-12% and bash only 14-16%.

My favorite fuel has been Wildcat, 16%nitro, 14% oil. But my LHS doesn't stock it any more.
