Hey, I was at a fish store today and came across some silicon tank tubing, like seen here. http://www.petco.com/product_info.asp?sku=4258370191&tab=0&dept_id=&c1=0&c2=&c3=&ct1=&ct2=&ct3= You can either buy a 50ft roll for $9.99, or you can buy it for 29 cents a foot. I was wondering if this is could be a substitute for the actual gas tank tubing like http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX0547&P=7 that is $30 for 10 feet, or 99 cents a foot. The fish tubing feels pretty much the same and the gas tubing. Could this be a substitute for fuel tubing? Thanks

prolly because the nitro and alcohol in the fuel would eat the plastic tubing very quicky.. the fuel tubing is made for fuel and shouldnt be substituted..

oh and if your getting 10 ft for $30 bux your getting RIPPED!!
you can get 50 foot of venom on tower for $19.99!!..

Its not inpervious to niro...I think thats the word ...The line that you use for a tank the niro will eat it...I no this because I tryed it years and years ago...

No, I had a roll of fishing tubing on my floor and I spilt fuel on it and a little while later it was eaten through, I stretched it and it snapped, Dont use it

No if it says RC fuel tubing it wont get eaten away. I think it has a rubber additive that helps it resist the nito fuel.

No. Tower uses the words Glow Fuel instead of Nitro Fuel. They are the same

Plus your link dont work

Sorry used the wrong words, I should have said "If it didnt work Tower wouldnt sell it".

haha, ok. Thanks a lot guys for the quick responses. Problem solved and i guess I will jus pay the extra 70 cents for the right stuff.

No Problem, You can look here for fuel line I have gotten fuel line here for a cheaper price then else where.

also pay attention to what you buy, there is a difference between gas line and nitro/glow line. one is made for gasoline and the other for nitro based fuels. they are NOT interchangeable. gas line will leave silicon deposites on your glow plug and cause extreme flameouts and fouled plugs.
