Awhile ago I came across a mod to the fuel line that goes into the fuel tank from the exhaust. This was to keep the engine from leaning out as the fuel tank level dropped down. I can not find it?? I dont remember who posted it, or the details of it. But they used a one way check valve in the fuel line. It seemed like a great system, but I can't find the details of it. Whoever posted it also had drawn out what it looked like. Does this ring a bell with anyone?? Any suggestions??

It's called a uniflow mod, it is normally done on helicopters.
I tried it, it sucks on a Savage. It will wreak havoc on your tune and cause the engine to flood when you shut the truck off. Fuel goes in to the pressure line and leaks out on shutdown. I realize that's what the One-Way valve is for of course, I never used one of those. Some people swear this mod works, I think otherwise.
The best cure for this problem is to put a different brand/design tank on it.

There are several tank mods to solve the half tank lean issue. I think new era had a tank mod for this didn't they?

i mid-tanked my savage and the difference was huge. no more low tank lean and it never took a hit either. I would certainly recomend the FLM extended tvp's and the midtank mod.
