Has anyone tried these new nitro fuel scents? They come in grape, coconut, cherry, etc.....
If so does it affect the engine? And does it really work?

Sorry, was the question too simple for u! :burp:

Actually, that's u suckin my pipe!

I saw an add in one of the magazines about the fuel scents, all kinds of them. Strawberry, root beer, grape, orange, etc. If it's not nitro, castor or some kind of synthetic oil, I'm not adding it to mine. Did someone complain ? Personally I like the smell of nitro.
Maybe it was some chick who races and wants to turn the hobby into some kind of Martha Stewart R/C convention. Hey, what about some scents for the guys like stanky finger, or beer scented?

why would u want to sent the fuel - when the smell of burning nitro is about as good as it gets?

I saw the ad in the magazine and was a little curious about it. But I wasn't sure if adding anything to the fuel is safe. Which is why I brought it up.

adding a spritz of armor all to a fresh gallon is safe - and a great idea!

spraying sent in nitro fuel, because u dont like the smell, is about the same as spraying sent on some pu'unani, because u dont like the way it smells. if u have to do that, its either bad, and u shouldnt be using it, or ya need to play with something electric.

I wonder if it smell like grapes through the exhaust??? Maybe a little Piña Colada smelling exhaust. Hmmm....

There was a post recently with someone saying that the grape smell gave him a huge headache.

Personally I vote for coconut. But if it in any way harms the engine or make more work for me to maintain the engine, theres no way I'm using it.

I'm all for putting a bud on the head. When it comes to temp you can pull it in and get a tuneup.

Puts a new meaning to a thin line of smoke.

this topic came up in the past. i know it did. can't find it. the general census was that the smell wasn't that big of a deal. O'donell has a sort of funk to it. i'm getting used to it. i think after a while, you could start to like it.

has anyone accidently tasted O'donell? i don't know how i've managed it but a handful of times, I've had this sweet taste on my lips (from the oil on my hands?) . maybe it's just me but a chemical that could make you blind shouldn't taste sweet.
