What ratio are you guys running? i am using chips ratio right now which is 25:1 with klotz full syn oil.

baja 5b rtr

I use Klotz with a 32:1 ratio.

i may go a up to the 30's on this next batch. i am willing to sacrifice performance for longevity so if 25 will keep my nice and lubed then i'll stick with it. I just gutted the muffler, cut the stinger, and bored out the port little more. Gonna richen it up a hair and see how she does. I have my eletric to be quiet with so i want this thing to SCREAM

i ve ran klotz at 25:1 and 32:1. ran AmsOil Pro Saber 100:1 at 40:1 in one motor. all no issues.

but after a few teardowns, the inside of my motors were dirtier than i liked with the klotz. its a good oil, but tends to leave a dirtier look inside.
atm I'm running klotz 32:1 in my ESP 27.2, and Maxam Castor 927 in my TS/ESP Zen 26 reed case. this is the oil ESP recommends and uses.

I'm thinking bout going back to straight amsoil at 32:1 motor seemed to run very well on it, and seems to run cleaner. though i may run another few gallones thru the TS/ESP mtor on the 927, and then open open it up to take a looksee.

intresting. i am just trying to get back on the groove of tuning. I gutted the stock can, removed the stinger, and bored the hole out a little. I set my hsn to 2 1/2 turns out and my lsn to 2 turns out. should i go even richer or tune from here?

were you running the klotz full syn or the stuff with 20% castor oil?

full synth, the supertechnoplate.

those are VERY Rich settings. i would really be surprised if it started and ran,

stock settings are 1 1/2 out on H and 1 1/4 out on L. i would start there. or just a smidge richer (but stock should be fine for your current setup) you ll likely need to lean them off a bit from the stock settings, but its always a wise choice to go rich first a bit, to be sure your not getting to lean.

usually the needles will hover around 1 1/2 on H and 1 1/8th on L motor mods, tuned pipe dependant.

i reset it back to factory and it seems fine. had to lean it out about 1/4 turn on the idle to get it just right. seems to have plenty of power so i am happy. what temps should i be looking for?
