i asked yesterday about keeping my car in the house so it stays at a normal temp. i was wondering about my fuel too. should that be kept inside. i live in FL and during the winter sometimes the weather can be cold ( 40 ) and really hot ( 85-90 )

i got this of an online manual i hope it helps

* Avoid temperature extremes. Whenever you can, store your fuel in an environment in which the temperature is fairly constant. Frequent heating and cooling causes moisture to condense inside the fuel bottle, and excess moisture spoils nitro fuel.

* Keep the fuel bottle off the floor. A concrete floor will chill the bottle and can cause the moisture inside it to condense.

* Cap it! If your jug of fuel came with a plug under the cap, don't discard the plug; use it whenever you put the fuel away. You'll have a more effective seal than if you use only the cap. If your fuel bottle is flexible enough, squeeze it before you tighten the cap to expel air-less air, less moisture.

listen matty.. i dont think its right that you throw your "florida weather around. 40.. at night... eehww!!! I'm so jelous.. i live in pa. and it has snowed at least once a weak for about a 1 1/2 months..our high temp in the past week has been no more then 37!!its snowing right now!! supposed to get 3"-5" THIS SUX!! I'm goin to florida.. sorry...:bow: so bout your fuel. I'm pretty sure its ok out in the garage. probly safer too..

I live in Buffalo NY, i drove my truck in mid 20F with no problems, I usually start my truck in the house though, and i keep everything in the house because makes it easier to start.

i know what you mean itsalifeworthliving. i went to school in PA for 3 years. all i remember in the winter is looking at weather bug on my comp and seeing -2 degrees and when i took my shower and went outside i got ice siccles in my hair in about 5 minutes haha. florida is definetly all about the good weather.

i live in a development here and the old people get so mad at me for running my car in the street cuz its so loud. if wish i would have thought harder about the nitro i bought. i definetly should have gotten a off road

40 is a frickin' heatwave!

I've heard that you dont want to store your nitro fuel on concrete. somthing about the concrete secreets chemicals for years after its been poured and can damage bottle enough to sour the fuel.

Haha well you dont know it but your lucky. In Maryland we get the same crappy weather and all we get is cold rain. At least you get some snow.

tssss...5".. the snowbank in front of my parents house is 10' tall hehe, but that is back in quebec. here in halifax one day is -10*C and the other will be +10*C....its stupid weather lol...

HAHA look what i went and started lol I'm just gonna enjoy my nice weather. you guys can have that snow crap hehe thats one of the main reasons i left NYC

I like driving my truck in the snow, i just need to water proof it this time, lol! There natural Jumps and tracks. Can fish tail, donuts its alot of fun, you forget your hands are numb and then your truck runs out of gas you go to pick it up and realize holy crap its cold out! lol

And I was bitchin about the cold weather here in Hawaii, been like 62 degrees which is dam cold for me.. : ) srry guys

is it ok to put some fuel down the carb to get it started?. it seems like this is the only way i can get my started unless i open the carb more then the rec 1mm. is this bad and or is there an easier way to start it then what i am doing? besides that it seems to be running pretty well

That is one way to prime it for a cold start. I just plug the stinger and yank the cord about 13 times (long fuel lines) and it fires right up.

yeah that would be way easier then taking off the filter everytime. thanks
and at the beginning when i first got it started. it kept dieing right after it reached like 90-95 degrees engine temp. does anyone know what that means? why it stalls after if first gets warm

i know that the problem i have with my car when i first try to start it for they day is it revs high cuz i got the trim up but it dies after like 10 seconds. its not like it loosed revs it just cuts off. sometimes it can act up like that for 20 min 1/2 hour. pain in the ass when you just wanna go out and mess around for and hour and half the time your trying to get the damn thing started lol but it still keeps me coming back =]

do you pull the glow ignitor off right after it starts or do you let it sit for a little bit to help the engine warm up?
