I seem to get fuel all around the tank and below it while driving... when i say driving i mean just driving it on the concrete, no flips, jumps, etc... is this common?

No thats not normal!
IMO you have a leak some were. take your tank off and check it for leaks...

well if you spill your fuel then it will be comon, but sounds to me like you've got a leak, either one of your lines is leaking,or your tank has a crack for a hole in it somewhere.

Yep, you have a leak. Take some tissue paper and spread super glue on the outside of the crack, worked great for my friend lol. Or just get a new tank haha

ya i have flipped, banged, rolled and crashed my car, had it sitting up side down running for a good 30 seconds and not even a drop leaks out...

The fuel will evaporate soon... it might be spent fuel from the exhaust leaving some oil around from the exhaust. Try pointing the exhaust pointed downward:banana:

When you say fuel? Is this unspent fuel? If so, then check for a leak at the tank or near the carb or fuel filter.

If this is spent or oily looking fuel, you might have a leak at at the main bearing for the engine (a common phenomena in some engines like TRAXXAS engines). It might also be a bad exhaust or other gasket.

If the engine is not suffering for performance, this simply might be the price you pay for running your engine (like I said this is normal for some engines). If it seems a bit excessive, determine the source and then repair the "leak",

Revo right? Check the o-ring under the cap. The older blue o-rings are notorius for going bad. If it' not the case take the tank off and leave the lines hooked up to the tank. Submerge the tank in water and cap one end of one of the lines with your finger and blow into the other line and watch for air bubbles. If you tank is leaking or the cap watch your temps, the airleak will cause your mill to lean out and run hot.

No CEN MT2... It is oily texture... and it only seems to "leak" when i'm running it and its around the tank. The exhaust is pointed downward but it is near the tank... thing is that it has been doing it since i've had it (new)?

I'm taking it all apart and checking everything... this is my first nitro and i must say i will not go with CEN again... not trying to bash them but I haven't even bashed the thing yet and have already gone through 4 spur gears (2-1st and 2- 2nd gears)... broke a shock and 2 diff. joint cups...

I've got a cen mt2 also,and i don't have that problem,maybe it's a deffect,prolly wanna check cen's website or give them a call.

IMO is the tank cap seal still tight? I agree with Skymaxx. on the type of residue. If it is oily it is not coming from the tank. The fuel in the tank would be watery and not think and sticky. Have you looked at all the Gaskets and or coupler? Let us know

CEN stuff canbe very durable and overbuilt. I have seen a few MT2's and except for some simple engineering mistakes they are OK. As to the fuel issue, unless it is very obvious what and where the leak is, unless it hinders performance, why worry? I get leaks and mystery oil all the time on all my rigs. Unless it is excessive fuel spilling or near the FW, I just ignore it.

Maybe mine is a "lemon"...LOL... I'm not worried about the leak, its coming from the tank so i'll just upgrade... I'm sure CEN is or can durable but its my first nitro and I've had more problems with the thing than i should.. leaves a sour taste in your mouth (not literally, for you that have jokes)!!!
