I got a used lst from a co-worker and when I tried to start it I don't see the fuel moving through the line to the carb. When I push the primer, it doesn't seem to be pushing the fuel up the line. Is the primer designed to but used while trying to start the motor? Not sure where to start looking for the problem. There is a fuel filter on it, the screen is clean. Thanks!

Get a tank without the primer. They're notorious for leaking. If it won't prime, and the fuel isn't moving in the line, that would be the likely suspect.

Thank you both! As soon as I get my Revo fixed, the tank on the lst will be next.

Check the lines and check the tank for damage. I like to primer it with the exhaust.

Okay, I figured out why the fuel is not making to the carb, you need compression to pull the fuel up the line. I pulled the glow plug and watched the piston while I gave the roto-start a quick pull and the piston isn't moving.

There is a little more to the history of this lst. My friend said the motor seized on him within the first couple of days. He sent it in and they sent him a new one. So I took the roto-start off the back and checked the one-way bearing. The bearing is fine but it's not making contact with the conrod. I started looking at the exploded diagram of the Mach 26 and it looks like they may have a pull start backplate on the motor. (I don't think this motor ever ran for him once he got it back). Is there a better diagram of this motor or perhaps some pics that someone knows of with a roto-start/backplate in them? Is there a chance that the conrod pin isn't sticking out far enough for the bearing to make contact?

I can link up some pics if it would help. As usual, THANKS!

I had it torn down earlier. I looked at the bearing a little closer and the 'ridges' on the inside look pretty worn down. I guess that explains why it would spin on the shaft and not engage...LOL. My buddy was nice enough to have a spare in the tool box he gave me. I just might get this sucker running yet.

I guess I'm not as dumb about this stuff as I thought, I just need to slow down and take a closer look at things. Now tuning is a whole different issue, I'm still dumb as far as getting that part right....LOL.

you're not dumb, you're just, not expierenced. I felt that way once, and still do sometimes. you'll get it, just stick with it.
