Is it possible to add regular or high test gasoline in small amounts into your engine fuel? If so what benifits/downfalls would one expect to incounter if this was done? I know that the engine won't run on just regular 2 cycle gas since you need a spark plug but i was thinking that it might be possible in small amounts to possibly give the engine abit more "omph". :smoke: For example: Say you have a 75 cc fuel tank and you add 5-10 cc of regular gasoline.

Also if its not possible to use gasoline what are some other mixtures that you can use to crank an extra half ponie? I've herd of people brewing thier own fuels in their basement. Like Methanol or Alcy mixed with castor oil, however it seems that there is some power loss with these home brews but what the hell if you like playing but not paying too much for fuel.

It doesn't sound good to me. If it was ok to run regular gas in these engines I think that is what they would use. because it is cheaper than 20-30 bucks a gallon. which would bring more people to the hooby maybe.

how about we dont go mixing our own fuels guys. no, gasoline will not work. although its considered very tame compared to the chemicals you need to make proper fuels. nitomethane, and methanol are no joke and should not be mixed by your average joe. and if you get the mixture wrong, your money saving venture just cost you an engine. if you really want to save money, order your fuel by the case through your local hobby shop. its 4 gallons but most shops will give you a discount when you buy in bulk.

here is a place in PA that will mix your fuel for you. cheaper than normal fuels too.
