i seem to use a lot of fuel when running my savage, the rear end seems to get covered in nitro, i have just removed exhaust gasket and it has splits in it. does anyone know if this could be the problem? i also checked HSN and LSN ithink these were way out, the LSN was 5 turns out and the HSN was about the same, i set the LSN 3 turns out and HSN 3.5 turns out, does anyone know if this sounds about right, I'm just going by the imformation i can find on the net, many thanks.:(

i think i have sorted the problem, new exhaust gasket, made sure eveything was was tight on the engine, pull start ect.then tuned it, now goes much better no more boggin, used 2 tanks of full and there was no where near as much mess on the rear end.:D:D:D:D:D

I'm a little late since you found it, but a split exhaust gasket will spew oil in the wrong places, plus it will lower the fuel system pressure.
With the engine warmed up, tune the LSN till you get a good launch. Tune the HSN for top end without bogging or cutting out.
Once it's running good you'll have to tweak the HSN for outside temp and humidity.
