can shortening the fuel line hurt anything? i bought some neon fuel lines and replace the plain see through ones, but i didnt relize i needed more then 12inches to make them same lenth as factory but i installed them and it runs fine but can it hurt anything?

i don't think it can "hurt" anything but if it's to tite i think there is a posibility of it falling off if you hit a big jump or somthing...or cutting out if it kinks

The shorter the fuel line is that goes to the engine, the less time upside-down time you have to flip it back.

IMO, it looks too short. It looks like it won't last long upside down. I'd suggest making it longer, maybe by wrapping it around the cap once or twice.. It's all in opinion though.

Edit: This may help. I found that the fuel line that goes from the pipe to the tank should be no more than 8in. The inline tubing can be about the same also. Most people like to run it once around the heatsink.

k thanks, when i got this line it was only 12in's long
so i had to make due or wait another week for more

ok so i tested upside down run time, and it seems on half a tank with this fuel line it runs for over a minute?? so I'm fine id say, but i think ill buy 12 more inches and make 2 loops and zip tie, so i can hold a lil more fuel for run time

i don't think you even have to bother.. i think if it runs for over a munite upside down with half a tank then you are more than good to go...
