For those members that are contributors, you know where these came from. For those that are not, look into the store soon and these fuel line covers will be made available. WoodiE is working on it; so he will have to answer the when question.

At any rate, here are a couple of shots of my recently upgraded Savage with some fuel line covers installed. Enjoy.

Top fin is on the engine is from a wonderful Error-style cartwheel landing.

The bowl is catching some residual lube in the diff block haves that is seeping out. SO, yes. Potty training the Savage. I tried to put it on the toilet, but it just kept rolling off.

Hey sky, how do you know when your engine is primed if you can't see the fuel go in? hehe, I'm probably asking a n00b question but hey-might as well get it over with...:x

I know when it fires right up...other than that there are no real visual cues.

Looks nice Sky. What wheel/tire combo are you running on your Savage? Those things look huge!

IMEX JumboMaxx tires. They are Claw Dawgz and Diamond rims.

i had that covering on my madforce for a while, but i had to take it off. reason being that the vibration from the engine over time causes the braided tubing to rub on the silicone fuel tube and wear holes and thin spots in it, not good. it looks cool for show, but for every day running it is more harmful than helpful.

Thanks for the info. I'll let you know how it works out after a while of running it.

If you have an electric starter you can hear the difference when the engine has fuel and when it doesn't. If you have a pullstart you can feel the difference.

Did you have the actual metal fuel line covers or the exact ones that Sky has on? From the give away?

He wouldn't have had them from the giveaway...not a contributing member. I'll run them and see what happens. Fuel tubing is cheap, and besides I use some thick silicone tubing...shouldn't rub through any time soon.

I think he might be talking about the actual metal braiding. I would imagine it is possible for some of the braiding could come loose, and puncture the fuel tubing. I have the exact covering that you have and it does not seem like if it frayed it would damage the fuel lines.

I agree the RCNT fuel line covers are much to soft. I'd be VERY surprised if the RCNT Fuel line covers cause any kind of damange to the fuel line.

One can never tell. Get a metal fiber vibrating at a good speed and it can easily wear through silicone...given time. I am not overly worried, but will watch for it.

Listen there kid, I know in your infinate wisdom of your whole 15 years on this planet you think you know everything but you are really clueless. Once you actually realize that you don't know anything then that actually is something to know. Yes you can feel and hear the difference. If you don't think so that's fine, sure the sky really is green, whatever. I'm not going to lose any sleep whether you believe me or not. Think what you want and I'll know what I know.

I feel the sudden need to scratch my forehead.

:write:

And YES, it can be felt. Very easily I might add.

Calm down Pirate. I wasn't saying i knew anything, as a matter of fact: I said I was a n00b. So get your loot, and go to sleep.
Thanks for the help christian.
