Having problems with air getting into the fuel line (Traxxas Nitro Rustler). Has anyone heard of this problem? It has a new fuel tank and new fuel lines (stock Traxxas parts).

Moved to Nitro Talk. I'm not a nitro guy so I'm no help but I know thats not an uncommon problem so you will get help here soon.

Is your tank vibrating against the chassis? My maxx tank will foam if it doesn't have all 4 screws in the tank. Try running the fuel line as low as possible too.

Did you get the proper diameter fuel line? I don't know Traxxas well but I've seen issues on two-stroke lawn equipment with the line not sealing on the tank/carb nipples due to the ID of the hose. Maybe try some small tie wraps at the fittings to make sure it is sealed well. Also x2 on the tank vibrations. Make sure it has o-rings under the mounts to reduce vibration, which causes the fuel to foam/bubble...

Otherwise, you have an air leak somewhere in the fuel system...

HTH...

Loose Banjo Bolt

Thanks for the advise. The banjo bolt that holds the high speed needle/ fuel inlet barb was about 2 flats shy of being tight. Once it was tight the bubbles diappeared.
