I have been in to R/C for the past 3 years and in Nitro for about 1 and, i want to get into the racing aspect. I am going to buy a XXX-NT sport RTR and was wondering if there is a fuel that would run the best for racing? I will probibly get a CR-V .12 for it (or something like it) and sell the .15 it comes with.

Does anyone have any recomendations for fuel?

Thanks in advance...

I use ODonnell in my .12 cv-r. I get great response from the engine when I pull the throttle.

I use Trinity platinum 20% race blend. works great for me and all my nitro's.

you're probably gonna get a ton of different recommendations from different people.my fuel choice is byron originals 20%,but I hear o'donnell is a popular choice amongst pro racers.

I suggest running the Odonnle as well. Runs great in all the mills I have and has never let me down. 20% content is what I run for all.

As has been said, you will get many of recommendations.

I think they are all good suggestions. I see mags using all these fuels and they say they all work good. Right now I'm using Byron 25%. I have used Byron since i started 3 years ago and it has always been good.

Well, i buy the one that my LHS sells and i seem to get good results from it even if they only sell up to 16%!!!! :(

I use the fuel from my LHS and I've never had a problem with it! its qwikfire 16% they dont sell 20% :(

You will most likely be limited in choice but what your LHS and/or race track provides(sells). So check out the stores...

I have used Trinity Plat 20% Race
Blue Thunder Race 20%
O'Donnell 20% & 30%
Wildcat 20%

and all work (i.e. make decent power in different mills) but the O'Donnell 20% seems to be the best all around fuel I have come across. The fuel was recommended to me by a pro-racer who let me use his fuel for a 30 minute nitro main. The power gain, if any, was slight but my temps ran about 10-20 degrees cooler.

The engines I run are OS and Sirio. So take my experience with a grain of salt.

I use Trinity Monster Horespower 20%. My temps never break 150. I definately wish my LHS sold O'donnell, would love to try it.

Well, thats when I'm a turn over rich. If I run factory or lean it up I hit higher temps. I keep it on the rich side.

you shouldnt. nitro engines arent happy below 200* because it doesn't give the sleeve a chance to expand to proper size. this wears out your P/S prematurely.

i like to use either odonnel race 30% or trinity platinum 30%
