So many. Are any better/worse than others? Good brand names? What is a good on-line supplier for things like this if my LHS shouldn't carry a good brand?

I was thinking of getting the Dynamite Big Daddy. Sintered bronze stone type filter.

Sold!!!!! Dynamite Big Daddy it is!!
Thanks

What did you edit out Nitrogator??

I went and researched (that's what I do) Dynamite big daddy's fuel filter and...wow..a lot of conflict and confusion.

Some people say it's not the best for trapping small particles. That the fine screen is better.

No one seems to know which way the fuel is supposed to flow through it. Half the people KNOW it goes one way and give their explanation.
The other half say it goes the opposite way and give their explanation.
The third half are very confused.
The car I'm looking to put this on is a rebuilt Exceed/Extreme 4wd.Everything is new so I wanted to put an in-line filter since there is none now.
Should I just put myself at the mercy of my very knowledgeable LHS staff??

The hollow end should face the engine. That way, when it's time to clean it, all the crud is on the outside where you can see it, and a shot of air to the inside blows it all off. If you have it collect on the inside, you can never get it properly cleaned out.
Whichever way you run it won't change the effectiveness of the filter, only how you clean it.

ONFA also offers an in-line stone type filter. I just ordered one today because TowerHobbies carries the OFNA but not the Dynamite.

lots of places to get it ebay is a good place or google it and lots of suppliers will pop up

yeah, I'm sure plenty of places have it. I only settled for the OFNA because I was already putting in an order for something else that Tower had. I do have a Big Daddy though for another car, however it has not been used so I can't really say anything about it.

Done deal.
Thanks again for the help.

It took me a while to sift through all those choices Rolex but I think I made the right one.

I got my OFNA stone filter today. This filter is 99% the same design as the Big Daddy. The only major difference is that it is longer so there is a larger space inside pre-filter, which is kinda nice for lid time. So if anybody wants to know. The Big Daddy and the OFNA stone filters are basically the same.
