will any fuel filter work for a nitro evader st because i already went through a lot of money with that problem of dirt in the engine

The thing that I've seen about all of these filters is that they don't filter anything! They just look pretty. The openings in the screen "element" are much too large to do any good. A stone-type filter will work, tho.

Now, I'm not pushing XTM, but, they have a STONE fuel filter that seems to work.

go to your local headshop (glass pipe store) and ask them for some pipe screens, and cut to fit. works great. casue when i got one. i noticed that there wasn't anything that could filter the dirt, and i was like "damn." i might as well not run a filter if there is nothing to catch the dirt/debre. pipe screen works good. if you need a couple pm me your address and i'll send you a few. if anyone needs a few pm me i have planty in silver and gold color. i think the silver are steel and the gold are brass. shouldnt matter though.

I use one that is actually for Airplanes made by =Sims= and it seems to do the job. I clean some gunk out of it every few tanks. Hasnt failed me yet.

I use the Dynamite Bigdaddy fuel filter, it is big so if you flip on you lid you have extra time to get to it, and it is not just a screen type filter

Hah, I thought of trying that. Just make sure you wipe the resin off first. :smoke:

The Dynamite filters seem to have the best filter elements for running on the ground. They have a nylon fine particulate element that can be removed and cleaned easily.
The Dubro was made for Air Craft where you're not likely to get dust and dirt in the fuel system anyway. :thumbdown

I run a Dynamite filter between the tank and carb and also have a Dubro with extra pipe screens in it between the tuned pipe and the tank.

Even with the extra screens in the Dubro filter, I WOULD NOT think of using one between the tank and carb unless I stuffed it with several layers of screen and coffee filter. :2cents:

Do yourself a favor and spend the money on a good quality fuel and air filter and you will get the best service out of your engine as long as you keep it tuned right and running cool. :hammer: But if you like buying motors...Don't!!! :whack:
