Hey everyone, my husband and i brought 2 different trucks the same day but i did not purchase fuel because he was going to a different hobbie shop since they didnt have his savage there. So when he purchased his savage the dude behind the counter gives us the vp power master fuel with 14% oil in it.
The thing is they only sell this fuel in that one hobbie shop....in the area which is a inconvenience to us.

My question is can i switch over to the traxxax fuel for my truck? I was told that as long as i use the same percentage oil ( that i was using for the vp master which is 14% oil ) i should have no problem, but i would need to re-tune it out.
Can you guys give me yoru honest opinion

You can change the fuel without any problems. You will have to re-tune it though.

what fuel do you use and have you heard about that vp master furl i am using. i dont understand why the guy didnt offer me to buy the traxxax fuel which they say is better to run with my traxxax revo.....what do you think?

They probably recommend that because that is what traxxas recommends for use in their trucks. Top fuel has a higher oil content than most other fuel brands, excessive amounts of oil can make the engine perform sluggish.

i used byrons or odonnell, i like either one, can't really tell a performance difference between the 2

Nitro content is more critical to tuning than oil. Tuning is an on-going process anyway, but when you increase nitro you usually have to richen the mixture.
Byron's has been the best fuel for me.
