How it works...

There is a small magnet that you install somewhere on the vehicles moving drivetrain, like a driveshaft. Also, there is a sensor that you install in such a manner that the magnet passes it as it turns with the drivetrain. By gauging how quickly the magnet passes the sensor it can measure the vehicles speed.

price is 25 USD, that includes shipping to the U.S. only because I can ship it no charge [to me] from work. Shipping overseas is probably pushing the envelope as far as "work perks" are concerned so you'll need to add the shipping cost.
