I want to start a website for the fire department that I run with and am looking for some recomendations for free site builders. I have never done this before so if possible it has to be newbie user friendly. Any suggestions?

Hi,

When you mean free site builders you are looking for software the creates websites or are you looking for free webhosting that also offers web site builders...

If you use a free site your firedept website will have advertising all over it. If your Firedept has a little bit of cash you would be better off getting the site hosted for real and have your own domain name like www.yourfiredept.com

You can get hosting like that for most times way under 10 bucks a month....

If your looking for a free web builder (Once ya pay your domains and still have your monthly charges) I use Godaddy.com with Website tonight. Its pretty easy to use.

I'd suggest looking into Trellix which is a very easy web page development software. Just Google it, sometimes firms include it with their hosting fees for free.

www.ezyrewards.com

you need to get 1000 points, it sounds like a lot but when you set up your account, post your link, and get some guys on here to complete some surveys and you get 1000 in no time. I think each survey is like 150 points and only asks for name, email address and stuff like that.

How can you offer free domains?
We get money from advertisers when ezyrewards users complete offers, like signing up to a website. This money is used to pay for our users domain names.

How can I get a free domain?
All you have you to is signup to ezyrewards, complete easy free online offers and then refer some of your friends to do the same. The amount of offers and referrals required varies on where you and your referrals live, as we have different offers for different countries.

How long does it take to get my domain?
Completing the offers only takes a matter of minutes, and it shouldn't take long for you to get your referrals and start earning points from then. The amount of time it takes for your account to be credited with points varies, as we receive funds at the end of each month from our advertisers on a NET20 basis. Once you have enough 'Complete' points in your account and use them to claim a domain, you shouldn't have to wait any longer than 24 hours to get your domain. We cannot control this amount of time for points to be processed, our advertisers pay us monthly, so as soon as we receive the funds from them, we credit your account.

Will I be the owner of the domain?
Yes! Rather than registering the domain name on your behalf in our name, we give you a credit to register your own domain at optinom domains.

Does my domain have advertising?
No, like many other free domain programs past and present we don't require you to have advertising on your site. You earn your domain by completing offers, not in exchange for advertising.

Can I use my own nameservers?
Yes, you have full access to change anything regarding your domain, as you are the real owner. If you wish to use domain forwarding you can subscribe to a redirect service at optinom or use a free service like mydomain.com or zoneedit.com.

I ended up signing up with iPowerWeb.com. Offers free domain with one year service agreement and ended up costing me $95. Not too bad and another fire company not too far from me uses them and their site looks really nice and the webmaster says it is pretty easy to use.

I have set up my own webserver in my house

its really easy to do but does cost a good chunk of change to get up and running

but i was thinking about offering people some space on it cuz it has decent speed and unlimited space

now if you want to look at it go to www.home.misterbob.org
