I was out bashing with the truck today and far out in the field there was about half a foot of water. I didnt see it as i was stadning on the other end me and my bud were racing. My savage was a mud ball is was like a peice of crap. Accidently i drove it through the puddle. brought it back it was it was partly clean so i did it again1!! This time it got into the head and it was smoking likecrazy but yea anyway i got a free wash and damn its shining new!

if u mean mine yeah but bad pinch its a beater truck just for kicks at our track lol

Ya works like a charm, But i dont see wat water is gonna do? I had the reciever like taped in duck tape tho. wAT I DID was take of the tray cover cuz I'm always squishing the wires and then i taped everyd down except for the battery chargng cable.
Thats it thats showing
Wat would water screw up?

bearings, I'm not sure but the rapis cooling of the engine from water can't be good on the engine, nitro also draws water in so your engine might get kinda rusty, if you dont use after run oil.

doesn't soung like the smartest thing to me. good way to ruin your bearing, and all electronics..

egh I ran mine in water to try and skip across it and on the lake in the winter, snow, etc. No problems at all. I don't use after-run oil either (got suckered into buying it at a hobby shop and then after talking with R/C guys who have been in the field for 20 years they said no way you don't need that unless you have a boat, if even that.) That was a couple years ago and finally just this spring I changed the bearings in my wheels, but thats it. They are all sealed bearings and when their new they work really well.
However I have never totally submerged my electronics.
I'm sort of a "drive it like you stole it" kinda guy and for the savage X to last me more than 2 years, summer and winter driving, thats pretty good. I don't even have holes cut in my windshield. Guy at the LHS couldn't believe it, figured I had done a lot of damage to my engine....10 Gal of fuel through that engine and not a single hec-up, I don't think holes in the windshield are that important. Same with a temp gun....I've never had one.

i would never do it to my x but hey if it works for you then have at it lol. although i do have to admit it is a quick and easy way of washing your truck.

how are your bearings after that?

hey boody1981

thats awesome you got 10 gallons of fuel. a couple of the guys that i know dont even come close to that no their savvys. as for oyur temps i tune for performance not temps but i do occasionally check them to make sure i dont get to high.

lol I'm confused. how do i check my bearings. Like how can i take me out and check em out.. Also wat am i looking for?
Rust?

Mido,
just take apart the wheel assy. and punch out the two bearing and spin them in your hand and make sure they don't growl. They should roll very smooth and you shouldn't even feel them rolling. If they are sticky or growl or you can feel them rolling pitch em and get new ones. Mine were still ok and rolled but I would feel them and ordered new ones. Used the old ones until they came in.
