I wanted to say something the other day but I was kind of afraid I would jinx it, but I've come upon a steller deal on a racecar. Just kinda got lucky... I responded to a post on another forum (I know.. shut it!) concerning somebody who was asking about where to get a Losi JRX-S Type R, an on-road TC which is now discontinued. I mentioned that it was no longer being made in kit form and to possibly keep a lookout on Ebay as I have been doing because I want a 2nd car of the same make so I can run two different classes using the same chassis (and spare parts bin). So out of the blue I got a PM from somebody else offering me a practically brand new mint condition JRX-S Type R along with about $100 in spare parts (still packaged) for.... $175 shipped Priority. :OMG

So for anybody not in the know.. that's a $320 car + $100 in parts retail (what I paid for the one I have). Funny, it was not too long ago I was reading on here about somebody elses score and wondering why I never come across such amazing deals. I got pics tonight and it is absolutely as mint as "mint" can be. Score!

Congrats on the score bro, hopefully I'll make this type of post one day!

:nopics:

Here's a few that he sent me today. SUPER CLEAN.

Nice rig, Josh. Be careful what kind of score you make. The wrong kind of score could have Alpine and his buddies hauling you in for a cavity search..........

Very nice! I've been wanting one, but there's really no place to run it around here. On road/carpet racing is dead here.

Congrats on the great deal, but judging from the tire wear I think it needs a alignment, LOL!! JK!!!

Got the car today. Freakin' gorgeous! This thing is practically brand spankin' new. All I need is an ESC and servo and a paint job and this one is ready for VTA. Woot woot!

Damn nice lookin, can't wait to see some updated pics, congrats on the find!

Well, they wouldn't look any different than what I already posted. Ultra clean roller + a crapload of spares (suspension, spurs, belts, couple diff parts). Basically, the top goods a racer needs to have backups of. I also just purchased a bunch of backup suspension parts so I'm in the green for racing now.

But his will see the track and maybe even some dust and grime, Rolex.

Yeah its pretty tight. I think I'm just gonna do a quick all black paintjob on the Cuda so I can get this on the track quicker.

A quick paint job, Josh? I thought you were going for painter of the year......

Very nice score.

Will you be racing on a black surface? May want to rethink the black paint if you are.

Well, I can't spend the time on all of em. I'm kind of overwhelmed with projects right now.

Very nice score.

Carpet. Ill at least do a bright stripe along the front dam and sills so I can keep an eye on ride height and roll. The barriers at the track are white.
