Is there a motorsaver that has a small enough tube to fit on the FR18 carb neck because its hella small? The one for my 2.5 engine is like 3 times too big for the FR18 neck.

I'm sure that there is a neck small enough, i have an epic 18 and the carb neck is only like 10 or 11 mm wide, and the motorsaver filter that i got came with the reight sized neck.

the carb opening on the FR18 is small? weird, most engines have bigger carb openings so the engine can realy breath, suck the O2 right in. i wouldnt think that they would go smaller then 10mm. get a ruler and measure how big the carb opening is. on the TRX 2.5 engine, the carb opening is bigger then most other carbs from what i have read/ heard.

The carb opening isnt small,This is a small block mill. The 2.5 does have alot larger than normal carb opening so the filter wont work.Any .15 size motor saver should word on the FR .18,thats whats on mine and works great.

aight thanx guys ill order one from tower

Edit- I'm not sure which one to get from tower so could someone give me a linky?

I use a 10mm motorsaver filter on my fantom and it works fine but it still needs zipties!

That carb is a 6mm slide carb, but from my knowledge that is the inner measurements and not the outer diameter

I am assuming here so take it as that but I want to bet money that the outer diameter of the carb throat on the FR18 is 10mm so I think this will work http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDAN7&P=0 I want to say that buggies and the 2.5 and all other 1/8 scale use the 14mm carb where .12 and .15 use either 10mm or 11mm.

looks like 10mm to me. or 11mm. idk. lol. also when using zip-ties,make sure they arnt too tight, because the carb expands due to heat, so if its too tight, the airfilter might pop off.

also if ur gona be doing some good off roading i would get the dirt/mud/water deflector.
