A friend of mine , his dad passed away and he asked me to clear out his house for him , that’s what I’ve been doing for 30 years , is cleaning out rentals after the drug addicts sneak out without paying bills , needless to say I’ve got endless unbelievable stories , but here’s one that fits in here , I started working upstairs never going downstairs until I needed to , I got working down there , a lot of just plain dump run stuff , then I came across a big Rubbermaid storage container , I opened it and was pretty much speechless for a moment , inside was everything that has to do with racing the two Losi 8’s that were in the container , and I mean everything !!!! I showed it to my friend , he just said, well it’s a good thing you will probably know what to do with all that and he gave it to me !! It’s been a year or so , I waited to be sure he wouldn’t want this stuff and now I’m giving in , I started both of them , on the big motor one it ran great then went to full throttle wrecked into the fence , I ran to try n save it but evidently I was not fast enough, the battery wire came out of the connector plug is what caused the problem. , now I need to know what engine to put in this thing , I’m gunna build this thing and give it to my friend but I’m not a nitro guy much these days any suggestions is greatly appreciated

Just throwing this out there, but if you or your friend won’t be racing those rigs I’d like to buy one of those transponders for my race rigs.

Also a sweet find! They may be worth something. Although IDK if old Losi 8ights go for much.

I’m going to look into the fixing of these things , I don’t see me racing , cuz the creeps that run the track that I broke ground on in 1984 , are just that , I was told my last trip out there years ago , that I was messing up there dirt , instead of hitting him with the near by shovel, I said , did you hear what you just said ?? Hey creep if your worried bout the way the dirt is hand me a rake and then thank me for giving a crap about your opinion or dirt , so any ways I’ll keep you in mind for those transponders , hey just as easy to send two !!!!

Hey guys on another thing , the big engine one it fires then dies then doesn’t fire at all and so on and so on , I’ve cleaned the carb, I’ve changed the plug , I’ve changed the battery in glow starter , I’ve switched glow starters , I’m now thinking it’s the bib , ( head seal ) ? Any input ?

Nice score. That Jammin motor on the buggy is a MISSLE… The goofy lookin’ motor on the truggy is either an old Sportwerks .26, or a Losi Mach 427. Either way, worth all of about $50, so if you chucked the rod-it’s no big loss.. I’d pull the backplate to see what you’ve got after the runaway. Also-that old Hitec 5955 was a killer servo 20yrs ago.. Fairly certain I see Lunsford Titanium turnbuckles too.

Start by taking those silly truggy tires and wheels off of that buggy.

I sent you a PM about the transponders.

Sucks when people get carried away by their dirt but unfortunately some can't realize it's just dirt and not hard to fix.

Yeah, they should hook up to the RX. The transponders are the little red boxes.
