FOC wrong shaft.

Well today was a day for fixing trucks. I have spent the last 6 hours working on various trucks. I have been working on 3 maxxes, a Jato, and my Revo. I ALMOST had my BB maxx going again. I decided to tear the tranny apart to fix the primary shaft that I broke off at the track. Well since the tranny has a FOC in it the original shaft will not work. I just so happen to have a FOC in my tool kit, so I was like sweet. Apparently though the shaft is too big and will not go through the bearings in the tranny housing. Since I had my Revo tranny apart today I noticed its the same damn shaft. My LHS sold me a FOC for a Revo instead of a Maxx. So 3 of my trucks are waiting on 1 part and Ill have 5 in running condition. I havent even started on the Dominator. I just dont have the energy or patience at this point. I'm about to go fire up the Jato and see if its running right. I had to wait on the hump pack to charge. Since 1 of the Maxxes hump pack is ready (after charging it because it was dead) I guess Ill try it first. If it runs right I will be posting it up for sale. It is my friends maxx. Its a decent truck. Ill let you know how it goes.:\

Well it didnt go very well. The Jato ran very well till the exhaust grommet ripped into and lost all the pressure to the fuel tank. It will half ass run, but thats unexceptable. The Revo did fine as I expected. The maxx has another problem. The easy start started smoking. It will turn over the motor,but not very well. I guess the brushes in it are bad.

Had the same problem on my maxx my foc shaft was too long guess i will have to pick one up for a revo

The revo shaft will not go through the bearing in the housing.

Get a pull start.

I have one but its not my truck. He just wants to sell it. A new motor is only $10 for the ez start
