Candyman, I understand supporting your LHS but have you thought about ordering it online?

Will your LHS ship parts to you? just a thought

Yeah, I've thought about going online. And I am close to doing that. I usually wait to order online until I have enough stuff to justify the shipping. But I am in need of a few bottles of paint and a few project bodies so I think it's time to put in an order..

I can say that the foc is easily the best 10 I ever spent on my maxx. The reverse is poo. When I did it, I couldn't believe how much crap is in there that you don't need. I think HPI got it right with the savage. Offer a reverse module for those who really want it.

Well mines in now i got to put truck back together again changine builkheads out for alum ones maybe ill get to test it out tomm

its not that much lighter

and isent it usefull?

well i wouldent know what its like with reverse.

(the magic wheel doesent have it)

Well............

1. why would we do it? Reverse is not aloud on most tracks if any and I take my Maxx to two local tracks for races.

2. Its not that much lighter

Wanna bet? And its rotational weight to boot. Thats the best kind to remove. Plus a stationary servo and I can use it as a back up for my throttle until I go digital.

3. Its useful if you drive in your front yard maybe. Plus mine would always stuck into nuetral and I have to mess with the switch to get it back into gear.

I have a foc i took out the servo and broke off the thing so its stuck in forward... didnt cost me $10 bucks and it worked the same.

And performance... what does it add?

Your frickin lost arent you?

Ok II Guess i HAve No clUe... Even tho i Know U say i haVe No cluE... Aahaha hooken on phonics funny stuff... not to brag but My average in school right now after 4 terms is a 96.4333333.. i think its a little good... and u say I'm stupid... i Dont know whats goin on...?

Didn't say you were stupid. Just said that your mastry of the English language is still a few years off. And running a 96 average is good. Although I have to wonder what our public schools are teaching now.
Just one word of advice. Think it through before you write it out. If you don't know an aswer, don't act like you do. As you can see, there is a lot more to adding the FOC than you thought, isn't there? Breaking off the shift arm doesn't do the same. All that does is show everyone that you have a beat up Maxx.

OK, some people need to relax a bit... The fact is, that by removing the reverse hardware and installing an FOC, your throttle response becomes quicker because there's less clutch to engage... As for the weight issue, cmon guys, who here really races their Maxx competetively? It's an MT for gods sake...
Why can't we all just get along....lol

Dude what rock have you been hiding under?!?!?!? T-Maxxes are raced all over the country.

Alot of tracks had to create a new class just for the Maxx because there were so many of them racing.

Yes your right, it is a monster truck, monster trucks can't race???? I see it all the time in 1:1 scale racing.

Oh wait I know.....just because it's a moster truck, it's supposed to be nothing but a rock crawler right???? :wtf:

No ones saying your stupid. You said enough by telling us you made your own FOC kit by taking off your servo and breaking the shifter arm off. The whole purpose of a FOC kit is too take a lot or rotaional weight off of the tranny and deposing of the clutch system which causes shuttering upon take off.

Ok, Ok relax... I may have stuck my foot in my mouth...lol I know they race TMaxx's, but, in the races I've seen, the Maxx's were so modified, they didnt even resemble an MT. Most of them being lowered, running solid disk wheels w/oversized Losi style tires, stadium truck style lids.... IMO, seems ridiculous....

Unless..... There was a true OffRoad coarse that included more than just S turns and basic whoop di do's....lol
I have yet to see that type of track... Unless you could show me one...

And Rock Crawlers Bore me.... again, My opinion....

I think the big point is (directed at ImBroken) that it does make a difference in some aspects. Sure, maybe the savings in rotational mass are negligible in the backyard. But to not have that clunking clutch engagement. Or to get that instant throttle response. Those are sweet benefits. Again, I haven't taken the step. But I am as soon as I can get my hands on it. And I have read so many posts that say the difference is night and day even when you're just bashing. I gotta try it!

I didn't mean to get anyone up in arms...lol iI am currently running the FOC and love it.... There are times when I do miss the reverse option... Again, To each his own...

Forums are great for debate...lol

Yes i Do X... all my cars fly...

and i do understand that it takes out a few extra parts. And I'm in all 10th grade classes and I'm a freshman.

Does this foc Actually Give it a better responce?? if so will it make the truck wheelie better? Mine already does but there not sick wheelies... Now I'm thinking about gettin one of these "foc" just to try it out and see if i was right or if i was wrong.:nuke:

it all comes down to how much you like to use reverse mine never worked right so a foc was a no brainer yes it makes that big of difference a truck w/ a foc will blow the doors off any truck using reverse:smoke:
