Folks, if you've installed the FOC kit into a Revo, is there an extra gear that comes in the kit for some reason? I installed the FOC, followed the directions and everything went back together just fine, but before I go and put the entire tranny back in, I want to make sure I'm not forgetting anything.

The kit I got has the output shaft, the blue plug, the black cover and two gears, but the instructions only indicate installing one. The two gears included are different.

Thanks for the assist!

Hey Monkey, you may have gotten an older kit that had the poopy directions. Check Traxxas Revo Resources I think they have the direction posted in .pdf For some reason they bunged the directions up pretty good on some of the kits and re-released them. If that's not it, let me know and I'll go check mine out.

Now I didn't install mine...thats probaly why the truck works really well ;) Anyways, I do have the instructions that came with the kit...It's kind a sounds like one of the gears in the kit is to replace an exsisting gear and then another to replace the reverse gears and shaft. Theres a picture of it in F2 thats marks the FWD only gear/shaft and the above gear over it looks like the extra gear in the listed parts on the top left hand side of the instructions taht the kit comes with.

Maybe it helps
Ray

I followed your advice and figured it out! You're right, the directions that came with my kit neglected to outline you need to replace the drive gear (the upper one). Thankfully, I hadn't reinstalled the entire unit, so it was an easy deal!

Now, I just need to find a Tekno R/C servo mount and get my rotostart backplate and I'll be ready!

Thanks a bunch, Jet. I appreciate it!
