I had been experencing trouble with my tranny eating gears. The more experenced drivers at my local track suggested that I install the Forward Only Conversion. I've done so, and now my Revo only goes in reverse!

What the heck?!!?

You might have put your gear case in backwards.

If by the "gear case" you mean the main transmission, I dont think this is possible on a Revo. The forward output shaft is where the break goes. And the spur gear goes to the rear.

Thanks for the quick reply tho :)

Something ain't right that's for sure. I didn't think it was possible to install the gears the wrong way in the tranny but you may have installed the worng gear back in the tranny. Did you remove a dif too? Gearbox can only go in one way, backwards your spur would never touch the clutchbell. I'm thinking you either put the wrong gear in our put them in the worng place. Get the directions in .pdf from traxxas and blow up the pics as you go through it and rebuild the tranny.

I've double checked the tranny, and I can't see where I could have put gears in incorrectly.

Did you remove the diffs for any reason? It is very easy to put those in backwards.

I only say this because anything could happen LOL. Is it possible to install the one way bearing backwards then cross the wires on the easy start so it turns backwards??? I know I'm really reaching here but the engine can run in either direction and other than diffs I can't think of any reason for the truck to go backwards.

I did take the front end and rear end apart ... to clean the mud off.. but I did not take the diffs apart.

So, what's the odds that I put both the front and rear diffs in upside down .... 100% :)

Good news! Now let us know how it runs in forward LOL

whats bad its when you get one right and one wrong.. then the truck does a tug o war with itself lol

I probably would have done the same thing had I not found it doing some reading on dif fluid. I read that someone else did the same thing. Glad your fixed now get out there and buy a lottery ticket.
