I've been racing parkinglot level events for about 4yrs.I have always ran HPI belted rubber slicks. Last season I had to find a new track because the old one went belly-up, found one but everyone there is running foams, I wanna go back this spring on foams, but,I dont know anything about them, I was looking at the new hpi foams that come with the r40,will they fit the 3ss? I noticed the backs are wider, will they clear suspension, are they good tires or is there something better that will work on my car?

I always ran Ellegi foams on my Ntc3, I loved them, a little more money than most but I always seemed to get longer wear from them,, heres a link, check em out, you should have no problem finding a set that fits your car here, ask racers around your track about shore ratings,(hard/soft) once you find the right one you will never go back to rubber!

I must agree with maniac, I went with a set of TRC foams for my NTC3 and LOVE them. The days of rubber tires and mounting are loooooong gone for me!! (for my on-road anyways) Go with foams, you'll not regret it......

Foams are easier than rubber. Ellegi, Fast Tyres & Nitro Shoes are all good tyres. It would be impossible to tell you what shore to run without knowing your track. On my NTC3 at my club 37s all round are great but a bag of poop at the track 20kms away where 45/42 works well. The best advice is check what the fast guys at your track what they run & their setups as well.
