Anybody have one? Thoughts? So as I mentioned in my intro, I used to do a little RC stuff, but not for many years. Getting back into it and ordered the FXC Power Wagon directly from FMC, apparently they are driving it here from florida . In the meantime I came across the Lemur and am tempted to grab one as a trainer, keep the PW more for a driver and less of a climber. Platform is the same so swapping parts while dialing in and learning sound good. I plan to extend the rear links and driveshaft, initially add some low weight by upgrading the tires and wheels (original plans for the PW). Go from there as tweaks or repairs are need. I don’t want to get a big crawler until I am more experienced, unlike many other projects when I was young and foolish. Might add, I live on a hill in the woods, plenty of granite to play on, from sandy to big rocks.

I don't have either, but we do have the Smasher, which is also based on the FCX24 chassis.

Great trucks from what I can tell. But watching the video on FMS's site, it looks like the Lemur's tires are like rocks, and the suspension is too bouncy. They need some fluid dampening I think, which I never typically recommend for these tiny crawlers. But the FMS trucks have a lot heavier chassis setup than our SCX24's.

I noticed the tire issue too, brass rims and soft tires/inserts were going to get ordered with the rig. Good looking Ford brother!

Thanks.

I think that would help it. I have a thing about small scale stuff. The faster it goes, the more unrealistic it looks bouncing around. That's why I love the mini crawlers.

The Smasher just looked too cool not to get it, but even with the JConcepts tires, it still jumps like a little toy.
