Just got a Kyosho FW-05t for next to nothing and have little knowledge about nitro cars but from what I can tell its in pretty good shape seems to have good compression in the motor, I think the only problem is that the fly wheel is spinning freely which does not seem right? Can any of you lead me in the right direction to fixing this problem?
Here is where I am up too, I have got the motor (GXR15) out of the car (disconnected the hose to the carby and pipe, removed the 3 screws from the cars base and backed off the grub screw on the front of the pipe then taken the whole thing out in one) the gear wheel (is this the clutch bell?) spins freely behind this is the clutch?
where do I go from here and how do I go about doing it?

Forgot to mention that the fly wheel and clutch bell spin separately from each other. when I try to undo the screw in the front of the clutch bell the engine turns over.

Update: ok so got the screw out... there is a collet behind the fly wheel which is stuck in it could the issue be something here?

Cheers.

Remove the clutch bell / clutch pads and youll see a nut that holds the flywheel tight to the crank....Remove the nut and flywheel...remove the collet and bring to your local hobbyshop to get a replacement collett and put it in and make sure you use correct torqe technics to insure it doesn't loosen again..The old collett should just pull off the shaft
