Sup guys, Don't know if this is the right forum to post in but it's a flux so I will try. I just got a flux hp yesterday and boy am I excited about it. Anyways, the real question comes turned on the truck and it go's no where. Found the pinion gear off the motor to have a small allen bolt to keep it on tight loose. So question is being that this has already done this on this small allen bolt should I use a bit of thread locker. Been a long time not sure if that would be a little bit overkill or not. Thx

I thread lock every bolt, screw and nut I can find on all my rigs.

Same here. A little Blue Loctite on all screws that go into metal.

yeah Been outta the hobby a while couldn't remember. Went ahead and did it. Seems as if it's holding. I am wanting to play with this thing so bad it's not even funny and we all of a sudden develop rain storms for the next two days. ERRRR, thx for your help

Ok so I got a first run with the thing and the darn pinion gear let go again. I threadlocked the crap out of the thing. I am not sure how to solve this honestly. I can tell ya from what little I did run it, OMG does this thing have some power. I might have to switch to a better thread locker.

Did you give it time to cure?

Thread lock needs to cure for about 24 hours for it to be effective. You can speed the process along with the tip of a soldering iron if you want, but it's best to just let it cure on it's own.

Also, is there a flat spot on the motor shaft for the set screw?

Yeah there is a definite flat spot on the shaft of the motor. Don't think I quite gave it enough time to cure. When I did originally pull the screw out from the pinion gear it had some blue thread locker on it already from the factory. Guess I am going to have to double check the thread locker on it again. OH well it's raining like a sob so won't get to play with it again till Christmas.

i just got a flux for x mas love it defently use blue thread locker on evry bolt and check them after evry run put thread locker on your wheel lug nuts to my tires fell off the first day i got it because i did not do that

I got'er fixed no problems. Blue thread locker and waited the full 24hrs and she was good as new. I am very impressed with this truck.
