got it done. was a lot of work to make this truck happen. lot of hand polishing, some grinding to make parts fit together and some home engineering, and it turned out to be a very nice looking rig. sure wish i could find some orange LST shock bodies ans some chrome servo cases

to keep bottom hinge-pins in place i cut an e-clip notch on one end of each(4) and installed 2 braces on each skidplate with the e-clip between brace and bulkhead. the brace keeps pin from coming out the back, and the e-clip keeps it from coming foreward.
the Traxxas RX box worked GREAT. fit a flysky RX in there, hard mounted a switch and still had room for a bit of spare wire
shocks are super hard with the tmaxx springs inside the stock Lst springs. i think i still need to lower it a bit yet.
Fabricated 1 body mount from scratch so a stock XL body would fit good without drilling new holes. i think i did pretty good on it. i used a piece of aluminum bar, a grinder. Skilsaw, file and a lot of elbow grease
the skids, center skid ,chassis plates, and uprights were all used and needed to be cleaned up. about 25hrs of polishing into those items
so here goes: cat(stoner) figgured truck was compfy so he wouldnt leave me alome and ended up in a picture

it does look Awesome! pics do it no justice. eh, if integy made that crappy of a product, they would not be in business, and especially, they wouldnt always be sold out of parts.
i dont care, nobody else had the orange parts i wanted. would not have looked nearly as nice with all silver, or even blue. i stand behind my decisions

Thats the way to do it. Don't let the bullies tell how to build you're stuff.
It's no one's business if you don't want to run it because of all the integy parts. It still looks nicejust sitting still. :D :hehe:

thanks,
i built that rig with alot of used e-pig parts. still have not fired it up. havnent fired any of my trucks up this summer, been way too busy.
this winter i am going to try to build a 4-wheel steer flm savage

GH is going to offer orange real soon, you can already pre-order it on a-main, but they're located in B.C Canada so I just order off them directly

Switch your tires around. All your Vs should be facing forward. :D

$89 for the orange anno radio box for my Bling Thing. Tough call between that and the silver, but I intend to add it since it can't get hurt.

Wow, here's a first. So far it's the only part I can find in that color.

the goliaths on there are a mixed set that arent balanced well and wobble real bad when they are run. thats why they are on the way they are. the goliath/ tremors i didnt have any problems with, but the goliath/blast it took me 3 sets to get a decent running set

Hey bifft it I see what you mean when you told me that I'd need longer turnbuckle rods 90-95mm?

I have the turnbuckle rods that came with my FLM extended a-arms turned out to the max and the wheels are still pigion toed!

integy rod end and the stock turnbuckles work, but the need to be nutted to stay tight. i ordered a set of high $ lundsford 4x92 turnbuckles but have not had time to put the on yet. didnt look like they were long enough anyway.
