i aint no cheap bastard, but is it possible to fix a leak in my fuel line? and one more question, i saw the sweetest rc videos where they drifted hardcore. I have an hpi nitro 3 evo, and thats 4wd and I'm new to the world of rc and I'm addicted. so I was thinking about getting drifting tires, then i though maybe i could take out the dog bones in the front to make the front wheels stop turning to make it into a 2wd. cause i heard that 2wd is whats best for drifting. I havent though that one through cause i dont know it just popped into my head like a second ago. But yeah I'm new to all this i got my baby a week ago and this thing it awsome. any help is much aprecciated thank you

I would never try to fix a leak in a fuel line. It will run you something like a dollar or two to replace it and if you fix it you run the risk of causing over $100 damage to your engine.

yeah your right..thank's...i looked them up..there about 3 buck or something and i can get it in a blue color...aaallrright!!...thanks..P.S any info, tips, anything really on how to better make my hpi nitro 3 evo drift...would be grate thanks..

as far as drifting goes..
yes if your going to do it with a nitro... or electric for that matter. you will need to make it a 2wd rear drive and either wrap electrical tape around your tires or use pvc pipe

but from everything I've read electric cars are really the way to go for drifting there way better suited for it

but do a search on drifting on this board and you find some good info

I dont think you have to make it 2 wheel drive to drift it just put some PVC pipe on some rims... If i read right AWD cars are the best for drifting( in real life)

AWD aren't that easy to drift if it's fullsize, you need a TON of power. A STi or Evo 8 can do it but I highly doubt they can do high speed drifts like the d1 drivers. I'd imagine by 3rd gear it's impossible to get all four tires spinning.

As for r/c:
The problem with drifting nitros is that the engine requires air to be continuously going through the cooling head to keep the engine cool. When you're drifting, you're running up your rpm's pretty high and with no cooling, you will find the engine overheats very easily.

If you want to drive your RS4 3, make some PVC tires and get some tall gearing. Also, you might want to get a bigger cooling head. The most important thing thing is to keep the rpm's low and the engine cool.

thank you all for your the advice, it is much appreciated. ONe question, I'm not sure how to do the pvc tire thing. I'm a bit confused, can any one please explain how and what to do, and or maybe post a picture?. And should i make my rs4 3 iddle low? would that help?. Once again thank you for all the responses.

You want to to idle so the wheels dont move when you pick it up. Put when push it on the ground it should more freely
