First T-maxx

I just purchased my first t-maxx 3.3. Havent even taken it out of the box. (have to get off work) My question is, i have heard that the stock muffler is plastic. Can i add my stock Losi Aftershock muffler? (metal, tuned for .26) Will this affect my t-maxx in any way? (better or worse)

it is probabley going to be to big I would think. A 3.3 is a small block .20 engine and that other pipe is for a much bigger mill. I would get one for a sm. block. but somebody will put some input on this.

I'm just gona stick with the stock set up for now. I got a modded out LOSI that I'm using primarily for track use, and for sled pull comps, i just picked up the tmaxx 3.3 to play with parking lots and parks. I'm having a hell of a time trying to get my tune right.

it seems that with 2-3 degree weather changes during the day, you have to re-tune that thing. and it runs HOTT!

You did break it in correctly right? Also what are you calling hot? As compared to a 1:1 engine oh heck yeah they are hot running engines. I normally don't have to re-tune that much for a few degrees change.....but each engine has it's own personality.

Louisiana temp changes = severe humidity changes. lol. Yes broke it in to Traxxas specs, and I'm saying high because i was running about 265-270 average, while my losi wont get over 190ish.

it's not really so much the Temps as it is the Relative Humidity...as you get cooler temps though a 2-3 deg change can have a HUGE swing on the RH.....ie...when it's 80dg and 80% RH here in FL the temps can swing 10 deg and not really change the tune...until the temps start dipping below 60...then the exponential RH% changes are very drastic....and you have to retune.....traxx-ass mills are not known for their tune reliabilty.....it's a price point mill for sure but is not impossible to tune...search the forum for the Tuning chart (I think it's a sticky note now in the engine forum)...that will help alot......
