well today was my first day of running my new tmaxx, i got it and was waiting for the right weather and it was about 50 so i took it out. When got it running it shut off right when i punch it but if i push it alittle to get it rolling and then push the gas it goes and if i leave it sitting for more then 10 sec it shuts off and i want it to do wheelys but i havent tuned it yet, i kinda want wheelys on demand. when i tryed to tightin the slipper clutch how many turns do i have to turn it, i only have about 4/10 of the whole slipper clutch so like how many times should i turn it, i have 10% if that helps. Thanks for the help

i dont think the clutch is your problem, did you break in the engine already??

if not: run 2 talks at idle, and 2 tanks at slow speed

if you have: whut kind of sounds did it make before it shut off?

did you break in the new motor? Did you set the idle screw? Take off the breather and set the idle. Look inside and youll see where the slide in the car is. With the brake engaged or the trigger released there should be about 2mm of space between the carb body and the slide.

i heard that u where only supposed to have 1mm or 1/16-1/36 of an inch

A lot of the manuals that come with diffrent engines generally say 2mm. Id say anything between 1 and 2 would be fine. But I've been wrong before.. lol

It dosent make a bad sound it just cuts off and yes i broke it in. i just check my idel and its really small I'm gonna open it alittle tomorrow. so which way do i turn it left or right (its smaller then 2mm)

omg darkslayor you live in new york?!?!?!??!?! where do you live

My friends tmaxx was doing the same thing and that helped it completely. I believe turning it right will open it up. You'll see it move when you start turning. Have you adjusted anything since the break in? Is the carb still set to break in adjustments?

yeah but the high speed, it hits second gear really nice but low speed i dont know so i left it stock settings

I'm from oswego NY

and as for tuning your low-speed...

let your car sit idle for 10 seconds then take off...if it bogs when you hit the gas, or if there is a huge puff of smoke then your low speed is to rich if it cuts instantly, then your to lean

it spits alittle but its more smoke then when i hit about half speed, it dosent bog

Well half the fun of rcing is tuning.. lol If the spitting is in your low end adjust it in 1/8 turn increments. left is for richer and right is for leaner. Once you get in the ballpark go down to 1/16 turn increments. Just outta curiosity which motor are you running?
