hey, i'm pretty new to rc... i've had a rs4 3 for about 6 months, and i've enjoyed the hobby to the fullest... I just recently installed a novarossi engine in the rs4 3, but the starter box i have (a cheap duratrax universal one) is very weak and cannot spin the new engine's flywheel very easily.. this is causing me much frustration, since I can't even get to the break-in stage of the engine...

so comes my question... should i upgrade the starter box with the following parts:
-2 trinity monster hp 19t motors
-replace twin 6 volts with one 12v 7 amp bat
-change wiring and connectors
or should I just shell out to buy a new ofna starter box?

I think you should just get a new one but get one with a high torque motor, not a belt drive system with 2 motors. A 12 volt battery is fine but it's pretty heavy. 2 6 volt batteries should be fine. I would suggest 1 of either the 3 following models:

Dynamite heavy duty high torque This is what I use. No complaints
