Saw a Sheriff in a hummer a couple weeks ago and thought it looked pretty cool so I decided to copy it. This is the first paint job I've ever done.

The light bars on top are flashing red and blue led's. Kinda hard to see in the pic but they look cool on the track.

Nicely done!

I, too, do not like cops...but the body and the functional light rack, make this body a winner. Good job.

i hate pigs too, but that body kicks ass and for being the first timer it looks really good. what did you use a airbrush??

Very nicely done. No wonder I didn't get alot of votes. Yes I'm a part time pig. lol

That's really cool... Where can I get those lights?
They are actually a couple little flashy trinkets I got at the 2004 CES convention in Las Vegas. They're very low profile but really bright. (you can't really tell from the pic) They are magnetic and designed to stick to your shirt with another little magnet on the inside but I just drilled some holes in the top of the body and epoxy'd them in. They should hold up to some good bashing as there is only about 3/16th inch sticking out of the top. They each have a little button cell battery in them and you turn them on by twisting the base up inside the body. They worked really well.

I want to design a little siren circuit and hook that and the lights up to the third channel so I can turn the lights and siren on anytime someone passes me on the track :) :whhooo: :marshall:

Thanks....Yes, it is definately a basher. I beat the crap out of that truck. :hammer:

I have all RPM stuff and a Sirio 18 in it. That body is .060 Lexan which is thicker than the stock bodys so hopefully it will last a bit longer.

Nope, just masking tape and little Pactra spray cans. The badge on the door was just a something I printed, cut out, and siliconed it to the inside and then painted several coats of white over it. I think it will hold, I tested the durability with another piece of clear plastic I had and the test piece held up to lots of flexing without coming loose.

I guess I dont have to big of probs with cops, Some are crooked and huge dinks, but I dont like them enough to pay extra taxes for them to drive a hummer..lol.. Looks good. Nice job.

the lights lookgood and they are pretty cool ...but how long are they gonna last.. one roll-over and they are gonna part of the asphalt. where they are on the body is right where the body will contact the ground, smashing your lights.

Ill Have Mine On Here Next Week Hopefully Its Called Firemaxx It Is Gonna Be Painted Like Our Fire Truck

So far so good. They're holding up very well. I even landed 1 jump right on it's top and the lights have sustained no damage. They're getting a little scuffed up but other than that, they're ok.
