You guys using the anti-sway, bars? If so front, rear, or both? Thanks guys.

I took the sway bars off because Ed made fun of me and made me cry.
 
Ed.... you ought to be ashamed of yourself!!! LOL Robmob, you can use sway bars if you want to.

Just curious as to why you use them (Robmob), and why you don't(FastEddy). Thank guys.

I took Ed advice and, took them off along with the 4 aluminum chassis stiffening posts before my first race. My rig handled like it was a slot car so clearly they are not needed for asphalt racing. Probably more for smooth surface and carpet racing.

You can see in my pics above that they are removed.

I will have to check them out again more closely. So removing those did not hurt the car at all.... interesting. You would think you would want a stiffer chassis on asphalt.... but then again I learn something new everyday. Thanks Robmob.

There is a point where you can have to much traction on a not so high grip track. At that point you need to use body roll to keep you from sliding. The sway bars are great for high traction carpet and totally prepared smooth asphalt none of which we are running on. The 4 alum posts for the upper deck make the chassis to stiff for a not so smooth track as well. I'm running into issues with this on my TC5. I'm having to loosen some screws on the upper deck to accomplish this. I'm also going to put shock O-rings under the upper deck to give it some play.

These little guys are temperamental. Little things mean a lot when it comes to getting the most from them or in some cases just being able to drive them at speed.

Are you guys worried that with the stifners removed you will crack the carbon with the added flex?

It makes sense. Being a NASCAR fan I can relate to the setups of these cars being sensitive. Although I am no mechanic, I do know that even the most subtle changes can have a big effect on how a car handles. So to me it makes sense. Thanks for the info guys.

The chassis does not flex too much at all. I can see how removing the sway bars and chassis stifners would make a difference though.... I think! LOL I have so much to learn.
