well i got my first nitro.. rc10gt stock.. very stock.. i think the thing thats most appealing to me is that it has a motor and I'm a bit of a gear head so i like tinkerin. soo when this motor goes i think ill buy an os .12 or .15 . id like to rebuild one. I've done a pretty good amount of motor work thus far in my life .. . Anyway, ill post up the auction when in a few days.. now i need a glow plug wrench ,some glow plugs, a fuel bottle, after run oil, fuel, and nice weather. ill keep updating this thread. thanks for lookin.

congrats on the rig, i have one that has been worked over with rpm parts and i like it alot. good rig to start racing with if your interested in that.

post up pics when you get it!

Congrats on your first nitro! You'll always remember your first :D

The RC10 GT is a nice truck too for your first, it's durable, and has great aftermarket support, with parts being readily available. And as Beason mentioned can be a nice little truck to race in 1/10 nitro stadium truck class.

Can't go wrong with that. The GT was my first nitro and it served me well. It's a tough little thing and can take a decent thrashing. And it's super quick. So enjoy it. It'll be a ball.

I too have a GT with the OS TZ .12 in it. It's one of my more favorite R/Cs' to drive. Very nimble, and fairly fast.

i also have a gt with a OS .15 in it (It screams). What i like about the gt is that it is a good basher or a comp. racer so either way you go you should be happy with your new find

A Losi XXX-NT was my first. After three diff rebuilds and various replaced plastic parts after what seemed like minor tumbles/crashes I sold it and got an RC10GT FT. Dropped in a Trinity "Adam Drake" series .12 and this sucker flat out moves. Very fun and very durable. I wish it handled like the XXX tho......
Congrats on the new truck. If I limit the throttle on mine, I can do pretty well on my local track.

An RC10GT was my very first nitro, and she is still sitting on my shelf. I take it out for a spin when I get tired of charging the packs on my wheelie king, and it is still as reliable as ever. I hve really never had one problem with this model and I have beaten it more than any vehice should ever be beaten.

Congrats on your new "toy" have fun!

The rc10gt was also my first nitro. Awesome in every way. Although it is in now way stock now, it was a very nice begginers (and intermediate) nitro. I still drive mine. I love it. If you ever need any help, shoot me a PM.

thanks for all the support guys.. I'm sure ill have questions but I've ansrewed most of my own questions without posting just by reading thru the forums.. lottsa info.

heres a few shots of mine so you can drool!!

rpm arms, pivots, rear bulk, bumper, rear wheels, and radio box, cf towers, proline tires, wing mount, and OS .18 cv-rx.

that thing is a tank, with all that rpm its almost indestructable (almost) and the .18 makes is wicked fast!

oh yea.. i been kinda eyein the blue rpm parts for it.. i had some on my electric stampede.. very tuff stuff. i wish i could post pics but i no longer have a digi cam. thanks again everybody.

well i got it runnin.. tuning it.. but i need a pullstart its broke.. i took it apart and got it workin but only breifly.. the bearing in it is not releasing.. and its just not right. can anyone tell me where the idlespeed screw is? its a ae .15.. i belive its on the side of the carb where the linkage hooks up to but it took alot of adjustmeant b4 it did much.. it runnin at about half throttle when i first started it up i set the high and low speed needles to factory setting. the idle is suposed to be 1 32nd of an inch or somethin like that.. I'm gettin fuel and another new glow plug this weekend and a pullstart. any advice is greatly appreciated... but the one time i did run it up the street and back it did run pretty good i think its just about rich enough. but anyway thanks again everyone.:thankyou: :thankyou:

The low speed needle is the one on the side where the linkage lever is. The idle screw is in the front on the carb, right below the air filter. It has a little spring on it too (that should give it away).

ok thanks... that explains why the real idlespeed did some good and the thing i thought was idle made is sound like it was loadin up and boggin down thanks alot bud.. big help..

well soo far this thing has been a blast.. good power. seems to be tuff. only damage to report is chippiong the lip on the rear wheel.. lost a screw.. loctite is key.. oh i knocked my pipe loose . it seems to have a exhaust leak.. anyone know where i can get a gasket for a ae .15? if not ill probly just get some red gasket maker.. anyway its a great truck.
