Hi everybody !!! Just wanna know your opinion again...My b-day comming up soon...:celebrate: so all I'm askin is $$$ to boost my savage x, and i wanted to know what would you guys recommend buyin first :juggle: (stock savage x)

I say dual disk brake with a steel hub,Thats if the X doesn't already have a steel brake hub?I have an origanal.21bb and a .25ss. The .25ss came with the ribbed pipe, yea its loud, and it performs very well, I put one on the .21bb. Might wanna consider a steering servo upgrade.

Wait for the new DD brake set up for the Savage, much better than anything other that the CNR brakes (they went tits up) like the others mentioned, a good pipe like the HPI polished or THS pipe with the spring couplers, other than that a good 5 cell hump pack for better run times and a fail safe are just the essentials.

i never used a failsafe and had no runaways or nothing , when my battery gets low it just reduces power everywhere, steering , throttle, etc.. it doesn't just cut off in the middle of a high speed pass

You just jinxxed(spell) yourself.:ha:

oooooohhhhhhhh, big time!!

I had 2 run aways due to low power, one from glitches and the other from a
hump pack that just cut out right at the wrong moment.

A fail safe, like the Ofna Micro, will warn you ahead of time when the pack drops to a low level, it will stop the throttle servo dead, and be in the full brake position, but your steering will still work.

I'm only jinxed if i believe in that crap.......damnit i do believe....oh crap !!!

Lots of running with one hand holding the transmitter and the other holding your pants up if you are a fat ass like myself!! =devil

IMO the first thing a Savage needs is a new steering servo, high torque metal gear.

its been about a 8 months running and no runaways, mine just starts to get slower reaction time with the servos and throttle

the only time i had a moajor wreck is when i miss calculated a turn and ran into a cement block during winter , and it was very cold out, thus braking everything on contact, that was expensive, 360 $ of labor (i was a newb at the time)and pieces

MY SAVAGE X HAS BROKE SERVOS AND SHOCKS A RUN AWAY IS A GOOD IDEA. YOU WILL SEE THE FIRST TIME YOU RUN AFTER IT:buggy1:

sort of off subject but , is there a adapter for the savage x wheels to fit the big joe tires , they are 23 mm and the savage is 17, my friend tried my adapters but they didnt fit , i think they were integy.
