just took my revo out for its first day of stright bashing. and it worked great. temps were around 230-240 and it didnt even stall once. it was great.

the only thing i think might be wrong is that it kinda stutters a little bit at take off. i dont know if this is normal but it takes a little extra kick of the throttle to get the clutch engaged

other than that it was a really great day of bashing

I'm jelous.. it sounds like you just nead to tweak your lsn.. I'm sad to say that I'm trading my revo, and it will be gone by thursday.. I'm going to have to live thru your bashing experiance's.. so keep us posted and take pics for me. my revo has great sentimental value to me as you may know.. but.. i will be replacing it!! but not intill the very end of the summer.. I'm super glad you got everything figured out. it only gets better from here on out!!

Sweet, man! Can't wait to go bashing with yah! My 3.3 will smoke your Revo though :D Too bad my MIP driveshafts came with the wrong screws. I was so itching to break in that new engine but now I have to WAIT...... YAWN......

by the sound of it. I'm goin to have to help you out with your tuning matty.. i can't have you going out like that! this wont be the first 3.3 we take down. and it wont be our last.. this could get dirty, so bring your safety glasses!!

If you come to my house to bash then I'll ask my neighbor to borrow his Revo Picco.26 mount. Then you can try a REAL engine in that truck. =devil

haha i will definetly have to take you up on your offer. as much as i know know from when i first got here like 3 months ago i am still a newbie. i will definetly take some tips to get mine running at peak performance. today i ran it pretty hard and got peak temps to about 240 or so. shes still somewhat sluggish off the line though. I'm going to mess with that 3 shoe integy clutch i got tonight, see if i can get that in there. i heard it grabs really well off the line. plus i still got a FOC i didnt even put in yet.

and Zack you really got to get your maxx up and running. we need to get a bash session going ASAP!!

i would love to check that out man for sure!. but i want to see how my rig stands up to the 3.3 maxx. man i wish i had neighbors that were into stuff like that!

I have two neighbors with Nitro RC's, actually. One of them isn't really an expert, just a get-it-out-occasionally guy. My neighbor Brian Kelly has at least 4 nitros and several electrics, including a Revo 3.3. Without him I probably would have dropped out of the nitro RC scene a while ago. He's the one that inspired me to get a TMaxx. Looking back though, I probably would have been happier with an HPI Savage.

thats great man. i can't wait to come check out you and all your friends nitros. sounds like your neighbor has a nice little collections there! i seen your youtube video of your maxx doing wheelies. pretty cool

There you go, Matt!

Does that thing have EZ start? I see the plug but thats all. or did you just use the same tower?

FYI. go to Photobucket.com to upload and host your pics to post here.

thanks man.

and yeah i took off the EZ start and traded it in for pull start.
robmob told me to do that if the EZ start was giving me trouble. thats why he threw the pull start in for me. I'm just going to have to cut another hole in the body so i can start it with the body on.

 I have all my bodies cut out for ease of pull-starting. Pull starters are actually easier since they generally start faster if your engine is tuned correctly. It also allows you to carry around just a glow igniter rather than that bulky sleazy start wand.

i agree 100% what do you think i should cut the body with. i do not have lexan sheers. but I'm pretty sure i have a dremel somewheres. would that work?

It should work if you have a rotary saw attachment. I use little thread scissors and they work the same.

i gotta check that out. I'm know it has the cut off wheel in it but I'm not sure about a rotary saw. i have to check it out.

The rotary saw is basically just a drill bit with blades that cut out the edges rather than just drilling so that you can cut basically any shape with ease. If you've ever seen anyone use a Rotozip you'll know what I'm talking about.
